You know, I've never noticed this before, but once you notice what he's got clutched in his hand, and the few grains around his mouth, that's clearly the face of a kid who's just eaten sand.

For the love of god, STOP TALKING ABOUT THINGS WE'LL NEVER EVER HAVE; No matter how bad we want them.

The hexagons in the background of that cover image are the EXACT height as my scroll wheel's jump and it's freaking me the fuck out scrolling past it over and over again.

You're punching me with a fist full of lettuce?

That's a lot of threes you've got there...

Not a Good Match For: Those who want a lot of action or complexity. This is a mellow game with a single unit-type and a handful of rooms to create. Players won't be progressing through complex skill trees.

Bear Grylls would have to try reeeeeeeeal hard to stifle his enthusiasm for that thing over the stick he found.

Stop changing your icon. I miss the old one.

New York City doesn't have any Walmarts. That's some straight up up-state shit right thur.

Forza has a spiffy car customization feature that allows users to make all sorts of neat designs on their vehicles.

I got this feeling, too. I still enjoyed it, but I missed the color and diversity.

You know, I did play a bunch of 1943 back in the day; I'm trying to remember if that was in that one.

I missed out on that whole generation of BF. What would the co-pilot do?

I totally agree. Kotaku's personal spin on everything (including their often controversially personal reviews) are why I come here, and long reads are some of the best personal essays in the video game community.

Again, a lot of that is making the connection. A 300GB stream, still only makes one connection, and has only one header. I don't know if you remember OnLive (http://games.onlive.com/) but it worked pretty well (or "better than you'd expect" really). OnLive did have the advantage of being streamed from a server farm

It's also important to note that a lot of the time involved in opening a web page is in making the connections. Opening a connection often takes as much time or more than transmitting data over that connection. Remember, also, that each CSS, JS, HTML, image (etc.) on that page requires a new connection be made.

You could ice skate on those runners you had to fit your hands around. VMU was neat, though.

I know that this is a point of contention, and not unlike bringing up politics at thanksgiving, but in spite of all of its innovation and long term repercussions, I've always felt that the Dreamcast controller was one of the worst ever.

Awesome, but I really miss that first year of SAXXYs before SFM was officially available. It was great getting some goofy in game moments. There were a few last year, but almost everything was a fully animated SFM clip.
