I may be screaming into the vortex, but I’m a bit disappointed that I didn’t see Neal Peart’s name on this list. As the main lyricist for the band Rush, his nerd-cred shown through on a number of occasions. A couple of examples spring to mind. He wrote a song about exploring an actual black hole (Cygnus X-1), which

Oh dammit, I didn’t realise the Furiosa movie was a prequel.

I love that “everyone got tested before” has become the default way to deflect blame and act like there was nothing that could have been done to prevent a super spreader event.

I joked to a friend of mine about how Waititi will direct Bale on how to play Gor the God Butcher: “Let’s imagine for a second that a crew member has walked into the scene behind you... and.... ACTION!”

It’s fiction. It’s all a contrivance. How the characters get into a situation is less important than what they do when they get there. That is one reason prequels so often fail.

DS9 was also cynical Starfleet, and many including myself consider that the best Star Trek series.

Long awaited ? Don’t tell the fans that ,they would stick with the show for another 15 years .

I’m hopeful for a Solo sequel, it honestly was pretty good and they were setting up some interesting things with *spoiler* that I want to see. they were clearly setting it up as an indiana jones in space sort of thing which could be fun.

“The Rock” - The last time Sir Sean played James Bond.  :)

Gonna have to make an extra effort to watch The Rock in the next few days.

That is true.  Which is why I’m not a big fan of Adam Sandler movies, but I can’t hate on the guy.  He’s living his best life, at Hollywood’s expense.  More power to him.

“The Last Starfighter, really this time its the last one (unless the movie does well and we make a 3rd Last Starfighter)“

Why the fuck not make, oh... I don’t know... a sequel instead?

I really liked Cloud Atlas :(

Sweet! Sugar went to Baltimore after he left Banshee

The creators have said they would have met at Miyagi’s funeral and know each other.  They don’t have anything specific for Swank since she has no tie to Daniel other than having the same mentor, but if she said she wanted to do something, they would absolutely write something.

Plus, Cameron is a master at underwater filmmaking, so I look forward to seeing the supposedly aquatic-focused sequel. Between that and Wayne Barlow’s creature designs (I had all his art books in high school), I’m there.

And the big battle scenes in it? Oh....my...fucking...god....wow...

People can bitch and moan all they want but opening day my ass is in a seat soaking it all in.
