I was a little surprised by this article. I had downloaded the demo and was exicted due to how good the first Nier was. This demo felt like a gimmicky mash up of ideas.

I have to agree, he immediately came to mind as my life narrator.

Biggs and Wedge are my favorite ongoing character set next only to finding out who Cid is in every game.

I see the perspective your bringing up. The same thought came to mind for me. What if all they did was just take a 3DS and add an HDMI port and a LAN port with a new case. Boom! Transport over the OS with some tweeks for a new UI and they have saved all the money.

I fully agree with you. The beta was a blast. Servers were up and running smooth. Matchmaking worked. Merging lobbies didnt break the game.
