While I plan to continue watching this. I actually dropped this show because of the first reason you listed, the terrible tonal shifts. I found it pretty disturbing how they showed people getting brutally murdered while using a cutsey anime style where they will be cracking jokes the next minute.

Tetsuya Nomura can draw circles around most artists around. Illustration and concept design are his job now as opposed to it being a hobby where he's free to explore his style.

Seems like a good upgrade to me too. But them making games exclusive for it is a slap in the face to everyone who didn't know they were making a new version and just bought a regular 3DS (like myself).

Same here. I'm a huge sprite fan. Especially when it comes to 2D/side scrolling games, I always prefer them. FFVII in sprite form would blow my mind.

Glad I did. I was going to buy it until I learned it was on Origin and not Steam. The small amount of players in versus also deterred me.

Meanwhile, people on PC are still able to play the games they purchased 10 years ago, rental free....

It's weird how these games have such a huge emphasis on traversal without actually allowing you to jump. It makes it stupid easy and removes any challenge whatsoever.

I have to be honest. When game companies take part in BS exclusive content like this, on-disc dlc, etc. It makes it hard to want to support them rather than just torrent the shit out of their games.
