Finally reunited with his monkey.
Yes, absolutely. Cat Scratch anyone?
An addendum to this article should be BackStory with American History Guys’ podcast on guns. They pretty much dispel the current notion that the second amendment has always been viewed as “everyone can have a gun”. http://backstoryradio.org/shows/straight…
Why?
I guess in a way those guys become more valuable though. So fans could actually get invested into the totality of a team. Probably will never happen, but it is a fun idea to play with, especially when we were posed with “fixing” a current system that isn’t necessarily broken but only in need of some minor tweaks.
I suppose you have to factor all that stuff into playing in the game. It’s a build up each week. So, if guys are playing that week, they would have decreased practice time baked in. Also, I didn’t play in the NFL, but from what I have heard, there is nothing to compare to the physicality of real games.
All good points. And, yes, won’t happen but for sure fun to ponder.
I guess I agree that is probably the best/ safest alternative. But we are seeing the owners push for more games, not wanting to lose game day revenue.
Agreed, it is a strange idea. But really the only way to limit in-game time, which is what kills the body.
But doesn’t this already happen? Most guys miss games throughout the season. With the added games, you would get more chances to actually go to a game. Plus, the coach and his player management decisions would be fascinating. Further, we already see teams sitting their starters when they have a guaranteed slot in the…
Even with the added byes, the added games will ramp up injury. A season ruins the bodies of these guys, now they have to add more games. I think regulate games played is a better alternative to turning the NFL into flag football, which is where we are incrementally heading.
I like the idea of expanding the regular season, but then capping how many games a player can play. Most guys don’t play in every game anyways (be it injury or whatever). It would also add an additional bit of strategy, along with expanded rosters.
Yes! I kept waiting, and waiting, and still waiting. Come on, Akequate Man.
Too controlling. Won’t even let youtube vids of their sport. Just because something funny happens at a game, and they put it on their shitty video stream, doesn’t mean MLB is doing anything better than other leagues.
All my very conservative friends on Facebook couldn’t wait to post this article today. All in unison. It was a bit scary.
Same. That NYT story was heavy. It has kind of eroded my isolationist sentiments.
Ole Charles Gordon?
Fixed it.
