It’s sending power to 1 of its 3 axles, and the passive middle axle is bearing the weight while the right rear tire has very little and spins freely.  No idea what’s going on with the diff, doubt it’s open but could just be the left rear tire alone doesn’t have enough traction to move the thing.

Vantablack exterior, mirror chrome interior?

It’s one color option on one trim of three models. Their other 17 cars will still be available in beige, gold, and sand.

You should check out hand scraping and hand lapping. Lathes whose precision goes into the ten-thousandths are typically riding on hand-scraped ways, and hand lappers can get surfaces into the nanometers.

And it’s worse for Cadillac since the V-series isn’t nearly as established.  I could understand (but not agree with) BMW marketer’s cashing in on (and diluting) the M’s brand equity.  In Cadillac’s case, they were still building its pedigree, so this move undercuts it without even getting that much value out of it.

Their federal nominal rate may not be 30%, but if they have a full time job, once you stack federal, state, SS/Medicare/Medicaid, they’re paying that. The 22% federal bracket is like 35k.

“Corrupt union officials drinking $440 bottles of champagne created for a Russian Tsar who was assassinated by a left-wing revolutionary paid for by a union slush fund is just too much irony”

This is all true and points to this being a perfectly competent standard edition car. Slapping the top-tier monster power badge on it is the issue, and saying they’re going to add more tiers above that isn’t a fix, it’s just confusing inflation like theater popcorn sizes.

There’s nothing wrong with this being the standard model.  But slapping their ///M AMG SS Xtreme edition badging on it is unnecessary and dilutes the “V”.  “V Sport” and “V+” are already confusing, it’s fine not to have every trim model have a string of letter.  Just do base, sport, and V.

The RWD/AWD and better driving dynamics justify it being a Cadillac sports sedan instead of a beige Camry. They don’t justify slapping the top-tier, roided-out performance badging. Ratchet this one down to the standard or “V Sport” as suggested, and make a real V.

If you’ve done seals, valves, cooling, hoses, plugs, etc, it sounds like you have a stout, balanced engine in pretty good condition short of a full rebuild...do these engines have bearing/rod/other lower end issues? I’ve seen e30 builds from mild to 6-900 horse big turbo, so I’d think ~300 would be doable without

After all that work, seems a shame to leave it stock.  Adding a small turbo ought to be a breeze...

I think they’ll go the other way: you’re paid 100% of the time you’re logged in, so we’re going to work you 100% of the time. All rides shared, with food & package stops in between, and anyone who does this casually or during their commute kicked out.

Right, if they have to pay you when idle, they’re not going to let you be idle. I see every ride becoming shared, with multiple stops on the way for food pickups and package delivery. Casuals who hang out on bored weekdays for the occasional ride will be kicked out, as will people who log in for their commutes to see

If they’re mandated to pay gig drivers in between their gigs, the model will shift from picking up rides when you want to pushing for 100% utilization. You’ll most likely see delivery services consolidate, meaning all rides becoming shared, with stops for food & packages, and drivers in non-high demand areas kicked

And what makes it a Fruit Wagon anyway??

Then they could add the same gear to the TT V6 as the S7e, maybe an RS7e, nice and consistent.

This is good content.  More of this content pls.
