Yup.
Yup.
Maybe Tyrion could pull some "Weekend At Bernie's" hijinks with Joffrey's corpse.
Sounds like homework.
Once they started seriously talking about men standing tip-to-tip and stroking four guys with a full range of motion, I knew I was watching an instant classic. Best (and smartest) dick joke ever, indeed and without a doubt.
Or S1 and 2 of Chappelle's Show.
Amy's recipe for "Mayonnaise out of a Myrtle Beach Mug" is an instant culinary classic.
It's simple: People watch this show because of Jack Bauer. I seriously doubt anyone is watching for the "real-time" gimmick anymore (that probably became unnecessary once S3 rolled around). The sheer efficiency of this current season, combined with my lowered expectations from S6-8, has made me a happy camper.
I had a week off last weekend.
That's because Hatesong is the dumbest feature on this site.
This is probably one of the more contrived Hatesong articles I've seen. First, it's such an easy target because popular consensus dictates that Pop was "terrible" relative to U2's prior albums. Second, Marah Eakin, an AV Club contributor who is usually very much on top of her game, is so wildly far off in her…
Thanks, I'll be sure to check it out.
I'll offer d) Lena Dunham is directly addressing the expectations of the audience by presenting images that either fall short of or wildly exceed those expectations. The point is that there's a very narrow band of what's deemed acceptable that becomes the norm for most people. It's a feminist version of the stunt…
It's a feminist critique of feminism, which seems to be a commonly overlooked aspect of the show.
I agree, it was the best article I've read in a couple of weeks. Good job raising your game, AV Club.
I'm guessing the comment has been edited in response to the negative reaction. Maybe? Otherwise, I agree, I don't get what all the fuss is about.
I'm in Canada, so relatively limited selection, but I easily found dozens on series, specials and movies that I've been wanting to see. It's literally hundreds of hours of material that I'll probably never get to. For $8 a month, it's a steal.
Don't worry, I fell off that band wagon this morning. I tend to oscillate between huffing and puffing, though occasionally I'll do both.
I just signed up to Netflix last Thursday with no idea about the impending price increase. When I got the e-mail about the price increase the next day and that I would have a 2-year grace period, I thought it was a marketing ploy for new subscribers to stay with the service after the trial period.
I dowd it.
Saying that Red and The Woman are products of a "serious slump" is so way off base that it undermines the opinion being expressed by A.A. Dowd. There's a certain irony to suggesting these movies were sub-par while providing links to AV Club reviews by Noel Murray and Scott Tobias who gave both films solid grades.
