I always considered season 7 of CYE as the "unofficial" Seinfeld reunion. It made more sense doing it that way than actually doing a legitimate reunion show.

I disagree. Curb Your Enthusiasm is basically unfiltered rage, vis-a-vis George, vis-a-vis a projection Larry David's persona. It has yet to wear out its welcome but it probably helps that the show only had 8 seasons over the last 14 years.
