once it goes public like it did either you say hey I screwed up and said some racist things or you admit I’m a racist. Zero excuses, and people like these students should be responsible and move on. I think you are forgetting these people are their peers. Young people include POC. They are just as smart and funny. Who clearly know better. Why can’t their white peers know any better than to do racist things like this? There are absolutely no excuses for that racist conversation in private or public.
