As a rule, front loaders tend to use less water and do a better job of cleaning than top loaders. But you’re absolutely right about the pedestals being overpriced, though. Better to build one yourself.

I dunno. I really enjoyed multiplayer as a mindless extra in ME3. I never really got into it in DA:I, but that could just be because the opportunity to play a space ninja was not something I could really pass up.
