I've been known to get pretty annoyed. Depending on how bad it is, I may or may not keep going, but my first instinct is to soldier on, even though I don't really consider persisting in a book I'm not enjoying to be an act of virtue.

Correct - if your readiness isn't high enough, the green "synergy" ending isn't available to you.
After I finished (blue ending) and discovered that there was a green ending, I was really annoyed - I had just about as many war assets as it is possible to have, and it wasn't available to me as a choice. Feh, I say.
There's a laundry list of "this aspect of the game makes way more sense in retrospect" at the link I posted, but yeah, it's fanwankery.
Good point - also, the use of "atmo" to abbreviate "atmosphere" reminds me of a line of the Operative's in Serenity ("We locked onto your pulse beacon as soon as you hit atmo.")
Momentary gripe: I went into the final battle with war assets somewhere around 5100, the progress bar thingy almost totally full, and I didn't get the "green" option for an ending. Went with blue, because my Shep is a goody-two-shoes who couldn't see exterminating the Geth after brokering a truce between them and the…
Jade Empire! Sigh. Good times.
All of ME's "romance" options? Of the crew, only Ashley and Kaidan (and in ME3, James and Samantha) are Alliance military. In ME2, only Miranda and Jacob are Cerberus, and it's not clear what their policy on fraternization is.
Just to be clear, I only cited that article on Wikipedia because that particular claim was sourced. Also, the article you link to references this study in the International Journal of Paediatric Dentristry. I don't have access to the whole thing, but I'm quoting from the abstract (emphasis is mine).
Did you find that Shockwave suddenly got awesome in ME3?
Replying to approve, and also, now that I'm thinking about it...
Huh - for some reason, I thought most players were playing as a Vanguard. It's definitely my favorite class, because BIOTIC CHARGE DAMMIT, is why.
Replying to approve, and because there's a surprisingly high haters-to-customers ratio in the story.
Bravo sir! I was considering getting a SodaStream for exactly the same usage you describe, so your post comes at a great time for me.
Do you have a reference for that? Because Wikipedia seems to think you're wrong.
Oh man, now I feel bad on your behalf. Please enjoy a glass of wine and the movie and feel better.
