It was always my understanding that home versions could not act as remote desktop servers, but could act as remote desktop clients. That is, they *can* initiate the connection, but you cannot access those machines remotely.

why can't they just release an iphone app with the program guide from the slingplayer software. more than once i have opened slingplayer on my laptop while watching tv just to browse the guide.

@vinterchaos: what's wrong with that? There's a lot of great stuff on every OS. No sense taking sides, you'll miss out on so much. It just happens that macs are the easiest way to use all 3 operating systems.
