those headphones sound great but mine are cracking severely because wearing them stresses the plastic on the side. i suggest finding a different set.

@Vroomtrap: with all the coverage the mini 9 was getting 6 months ago I'm surprised we haven't heard more about it with snow leopard. I'd love to install it on my 16gb mini 9 without having to delete a bunch of stuff I might want later.

to those who don't know, this is different than opera mobile, which is not java based.

awesome stuff. i thought the 'ghosts' project by nin was also a good example of what can come from unleashing your creativity in a constrained time period

@JadeEmperor: some of us need IE to update windows.

sleeping bag, tent, and a few rifles.

@mr_peeks: it would be good to know your needs. most $50 cards get the job done, even for watching hd video. Usually these are based on designs that have been out for a while and are scaled down enough that they don't need extra power.

I'm still waiting to hear how this changes things on the mini 9. I'm especially curious about a clean install with a 16gb ssd. It would be nice to install it without the hassle of clearing so much space.

@DiscoZombie: it isn't just about money. There is a certain satisfaction of taking something in your head and actualizing it.

$10 when i get around to ordering it.

any word on hackintosh performance? i took osx off of my mini-9, but the space and speed boosts might give me reason to go back.

I think perhaps this is a bad example. Distort is a lot easier here, but if you had several images on the same plane it would become increasingly difficult.

@TheOtherHalf: what about the betamax case? I don't think this product inherently damages the market of the original work, since you need to buy the original work to use this.

This is good news. My router doesn't have Quality of Service settings and my networks is always jammed. Glad to get a little relief.

operating systems, and large-scale apps like this, seem to be taking a drawn-out version of the route winamp took in the late 90's.

@G.O.B.: Come on!: Well, let's see here. You say "basic nas device", but then you say you're using a P3 dell. That P3 is probably more of a server than a NAS, because I assume you're running a full os.

@sprice82: how are you driving 6 monitors from one machine? Are you using those usb adapters, or do you have multiple video cards? Details please! (very impressive)

might spring for those earbuds, my bose earbuds crapped out on me, no way i'd buy another pair

@Phoshi: such things are only possible on an operating system with dozens of conspicuous glowy graphs and moving dials on screen.
