This is brilliant. Probably very simple to implement but mostly negates the need for a home web server for torrent downloads.

Places like Target carry a lot more organics without the huge premium you'll get at a Whole Foods.

Is it just me or does the dashboard ui take forever to navigate. I've got a lot of media and it seems to take forever to find something, and I have to start over each time. Is there an easier way?

There are things to like about a scrolling desktop...

@wolfsong: exactly. Plus, if you've got 'my computer' on the desktop you can quickly get to any file from the quick launch.

@monkeyboy: New Balance are pretty much the only running shoes that come in different widths. Maybe that has something to do with it.

The page has no documentation. How complicated is it to set up streaming from a home pc?

No 5th gen 80gb listed. Odd.

I tried installing VLC but couldn't play my .vob files. I'm using the k-lite codec pack with media player classic. I should probably uninstall this and ffmpeg and try again.

I'd like to run these around the back of my 47" TV.

@johnsin: You've got a point, but most people know this and don't want to give trolls validation by taking the time to type it.

@Cupajo: what's wrong with power wheels?

@infmom: I've noticed. They'll have crazy discounts on RAM one week but not on drives, and then the next week it is reversed. When I built my last PC it took a month to gather the parts. Most people want to get it done at once, and that's how they get ya!

#8 applies just as well for small purchases. I realized this one time when I went to Frys for a cable and wound up at the register with $200 worth of crap. Now I just jot those things in my phone so I can find a better deal online, but I mostly don't bother once I'm home and the impulse is gone.

If this worked in XP it would negate my living room HTPC.

@Shawn: Controllers use 2.4ghz signal, not affected by doors. Remotes (360 included) us IR and require a line of sight. I have an IR repeater on top of my cabinet that feeds the signal to my 360 with an IR blaster.

I like that you can use objects as units, for instance, you can put in "2 human kidneys" and it will spit out an answer.

@HeartBurnKid: The Linux version of Second Life just left alpha, now in beta. I'm also using an ATI video card, and the performance isn't comparable or acceptable.

iTunes+iPod is my biggest holdout. Beyond that, NetFlix streaming and Second Life.
