Yeah - it was definitely an emotional decision on my dad’s part, not rational, but luckily it was only a month that they did it before they woke up and realized we had to put her down :(
My friend’s kids are the same way. One of them is above his grade level in reading, figures things out on his own all the time (like seriously amazing things you wouldn’t even think he notices), while his sister is at her grade level for reading, has an active imagination but trouble focusing, seems blissfully unaware…
Mommy guilt is the pits! Second kids excel less on average at first, fwiw......I treated my pregnancies in a similar fashion, and my kids are different as night and day, both boys.
Hey you’re doing a great job! Like you said, your second is a great kid with individual qualities and talents. Let her excel in what she does best!
