I always have to laugh when I remember the first time my daughter dropped an F-bomb. My wife was shocked. I asked her why she was surprised, since she was married to a Sailor (me) and her brother was a Marine. The kid had heard the word in casual conversation for years.

It’s still better than “It’s a Wonderful Life.”

I agree. My first thought was “why didn’t they get Melinda Dillon?”

Who is Barry Keoghan and why should this stub of an article make me care?

The fact that the Trix Rabbit was thwarted in his quest to taste the sugary cereal at every turn, alas, only made him desire it more.

And I totally agree with him. It’s nice to know there’s a connection there but learning about it didn’t change my life one bit.

A few years ago my mom took a deep dive into the family’s genealogy. She found actual documentation of a French ancestor who married native woman in Canada in the early 1700s. It was a census form and he was listed by name, but she was only listed as a Mi’kmaq woman.

My thoughts exactly. Gay rom-coms aren’t a new thing. What’s new about Bros is that it’s being marketed to a mainstream audience. Part of the problem with that equation is that it doesn’t seem to have been marketed well.

I’m kind of hoping he was joking.

Same here on the movie front—Knives Out was our last foray to a cinema. The movie was great and the theater sucked. Since then we’ve been perfectly happy just waiting until what we want to see migrates to streaming.

And don’t forget the airplanes!

Good points.

That Russian commercial was pretty well done. The other guy looked more fake than the Willis deep fake. The only thing that was off was the voice—granted it was in Russian—the actor’s register was off and it wasn’t really all that close to Willis’ speaking voice.

My thoughts exactly. What made SNL great in the old days was that they weren’t afraid to be silly. It’s a comedy show! The impressions don’t have to be spot on—the focus needs to be on funny characters, not making impressions of decidedly not funny real people funny.

I actually though the same thing when I saw Noah’s announcement. Going to cable would also allow Jost and Che to get edgier and angrier. There are so many times I see Che chewing it back and downing another scotch when he really wants to rant a bit.

True, but that gave him an almost Fallon-like goofiness because of his tendency to break when other people did something funny.

That’s my story and I’m stick’n to it.

In a nutshell, WRITING.

Study literature and you could end up just like me!”
