You’re hopeless.

Loved ones being murdered by superheroes and their sons wanting vengeance for said murders is “flimsy story?”

Martin Freeman wasn’t portraying Thunderbolt Ross. That was Wiilam Hurt reprising his role. Freeman is Everett K Ross, a supporting character to Black Panther.

Exactly. Steve and Tony’s motivations are completely within character, and everyone else’s are informed by their prior experiences.

And can I just be the last person to say that Chris Evans is a bloody amazing actor - he’s taken a character that could be all kinds of boring and potentially jingoistic and made him an actual hero.

People have said that? Wow. The whole point was that they didn’t really want to hurt each other, but each side had their goals that just happened to be mutually exclusive.

But then Lincoln comes back as a vampire.

No spoilers.

Is this what you wanted? Was it worth it?

At least it appears to actually go somewhere for the characters rather then just be brought up once and never mentioned again and has no further thematic relevance like in Crazy Steve v. Super Jesus.

*SPOILERS*

I am SO happy this movie is good. We often complain about having too many characters (Spiderman 3) or too many plot threads (Avengers 2) or both (BvS), and how that can bog down the narrative. But the truth is that with good writing and good directing, those things are completely viable (X-men 2).
I don’t get why this
