Yeah, it’s incredibly puzzling. And a lot of the women are objectively not dumb when you look at other areas of their lives. It’s just this.

This is like me in high school. I didn’t do my homework or I was struggling but insisting I was fine and I told everyone I was doing it and how dare you suggest otherwise. People would buy it, but I still had scramble last minute to pass which was not fun.

The denial is what really gets me. It’s just...so cringe inducing. It really makes me feel blegh that they’re willing to be this oblivious and put themselves in so much financial (and criminal it turns out) jeopardy just to keep up a fantasy.

I don’t get the hype either. The first half had a lot of promise, but the plot/characters got really, really lame. The moment it turned for me is when the creature grabbed her hair and just held on for a bit :/ Like it wants to fuck her to death, which we see it do *immediately* with that one guy after getting ahold…

I seriously have never met someone who actually likes them. People love to hate them and the only time I hear something positive about them is when people are responding to the hate. So I think it says something about our culture, but it’s probably different than what you’re thinking of.

Depends on the person, I have encountered people who use “dis” unironically. It’s kindof like other chat speak. Tho, r u, etc. Some people only use it in jest, some people use it with sincerity. Totally depends.
