I agree there is a general lack of romance between them but I think it's pretty clear that they are a couple even if things aren't steaming hot. Nope, different guy but David Burton is who Pillar Man addressed his letter to in last season's premiere and was also mentioned in a background news segment in a later episode about him coming back from the dead or being unable to die (I can't recall the exact verbiage).

There are so many times that I have just wanted to slap the shit out of Matt but Chris Eccleston plays him brilliantly so I do actually like spending time with him.

I love that scene. There's nothing like getting rid of your rapist's body after you kidnap him and your fake husband kills him to get you in the mood. The jacket definitely looks the same but I think the jeans were different.

There was definitely compassion there which was nice to see between women on this show.
