uhhh, so much for daily reviews, i guess?

I can't believe I missed that. I am going to have to go watch that episode.

I don't understand why Marguerite Moreau doesn't get more work. She is really great in this series but I don't think I've seen her in anything else.

I don't know why you wouldn't. It's right there on the same platform and is an excellent watch.

People just can't seem to contain themselves. I intend to binge the rest of it today so it's not a big deal for me but it would be nice if people used spoiler tags to avoid ruining it for others.

I've only watched the first episode so far and I think it's a good start.

That should have prepared me for how badly they would all do on the Broadway category. Very disappointing.

If we're getting into grammatical pet peeves, people who say/write of instead of have as in *should of* or *would of*. It drives me insane. How do you not realize that those words strung together make no sense?

Ooooh, I keep forgetting this show is back. Glad to hear the new season is good.

Very good point. I remember being really irritated by how over the top and one dimensional the guards were but those last few episodes of season 4 were so good that it washed a lot of the negativity away. I have honestly never been as affected by a fictional character's death as I was by Poussey's.

I loved the mother/son scenes. She was able to convey that while she understands he's growing up, he's still not an adult without being condescending.

Thanks, I am a sucker for those shots too and am a big fan of BCS.

I like that interpretation. I need to rewatch that scene. I remember thinking she was starting to waver but then seemed to block out those doubts. I prefer thinking she would have eventually come to the realization that Varga was the piece of shit liar and that Emmitt, though seriously flawed, eventually wanted to do

Yep, I am surprised to see so much hate in the comments for Emmitt. He was an asshole in a lot of ways but he also tried to do the right thing and was thwarted time and again by Varga. I understand why Nikki wanted him dead (though she was smart enough to have realized Varga wasn't telling her the whole story about

All the shots on the highway were Breaking Bad level amazing.

If Homeland Security was filled with Gloria Burgles, I would feel a lot safer.

They did drop the Judy King storyline rather abruptly but Daya and Sophia's arcs were wrapped up as much as possible considering the riot is still ongoing by the end of the season. That was one of the problems with containing the entire season in such a short time frame.

I realize I'm mostly commenting into an abyss since but I just finished the season and figured I'd share my thoughts. This was probably my least favorite season but fortunately the show has done such great work developing (most of) these characters that I still mostly enjoyed spending time at Litchfield.

I think it could go either way. The video shows that Piscatella had several of them tied up and with him dead and unable to tell his side of the story, they could come off as victims being held against their will and be given special treatment to avoid possible litigation.

I'm not sure if you'll see this but if you do, I'm curious how you and AVC feel about this *experiment* of dropping all the reviews at once and whether this is going to be done for future Netflix shows?
