Earlier in the season, when they were first deciphering the symbols found on the cloth and in the tunnel, it was mentioned as the date when a prophecy would be fulfilled.

For some reason it escaped me that this was the penultimate episode until March 24th was mentioned and I immediately knew a death was coming. I, of course, was desperately hoping it would be Juliette but those bastards killed Wu and Hank instead! I was too upset to think about the possibility of bringing them back

I am so sorry for your loss. I have had to make that terrible decision as well and it's so difficult even though it is the most loving and humane decision. My condolences.

Because The AV Club doesn't want to pay for it is my best guess. I said this last week but a big thanks again to Les for not half-assing it with the reviews despite the fact that it's unlikely he's being adequately compensated.

Thanks so much! Definitely sounds like it's worth a read while the season is still on. I just placed a hold for the ebook with my library.

Ha, I'm bored at work so I just did a quick search and they seem to start at around $25,000 which even if the convertible is a bit more expensive seems to be pretty affordable.

I work in real estate and there are several people in my office that become notaries to perform a function of their job. It's not entirely clear exactly what her job is but I assumed she was an administrative assistant of some sort.

Them not knowing about Norma's death is the one thing that really bothers me this season. I thought it was especially silly for the show to specifically call out Facebook as the way Caleb has been keeping up with Dylemma. If Emma is on FB, there is pretty much no chance that she is not friends with people from White

That's correct. I wasn't referring to the scream being from a different actress (though that was an interesting tidbit), I suspect it will be a different character entirely. This is an adaptation, not a remake and they've already tweaked the role of different characters so I won't be surprised if they do so here as

Sidebar: How is The Refugees? It is on my to read list and I'm wondering how much of a priority to make it.

I only recall them mentioning doing establishing shots in Russia. I don't believe any shots with actors have been filmed there. I expect they are done in various places in NY State, near where the Jenningses house is or as someone mentioned, possibly Canada.

Not to mention she was recently on Bryan Cranston's Amazon show Sneaky Pete and is currently appearing on Broadway.

Well of course the bar was in A town, wouldn't it have to be? If it wasn't actually out of the way, I would expect Madeline to have said something on the ride so it must at least be a few towns away from home.

I can't speak for everyone else but I'm not a big fan of stunt casting, unless there is some sort of connection (and not just because they happen to be a fan of the show) and that they have talent. The best I can say so far about Rihanna is that she wasn't horrible but not being horrible shouldn't be enough to get you

I wouldn't be so sure that famous scream will be coming from Marion…

Lots of people complained about Nicola Peltz' horrible acting. Also, Rihanna is stunt casting which will always come under more scrutiny than a random unknown actor.

Damn, I missed it but I am going to check if it's on again this month. I'd love to watch it again before the finale.

The bar is not in White Pine Bay. Norman specifically said to Madeline that his car was found at a bar some distance away and that he didn't want to inconvenience her to drive him to get it.

I was thinking it would be Madeline but I prefer your idea!

Of course it's stereotyping if you assume a person wouldn't like something based on their race or any single aspect of themselves. That's pretty much the definition of stereotyping, no?
