But what about your campaign promise last week about putting me in prison just because you can? Were you intending to do that lovingly?

It was a very clear cut case of guilt, to me, which made watching it play out on the news when it went to trial so disheartening. His first trial was a jury deadlock and they had to add a lesser charge of criminally negligent homicide when they tried him again. He was convicted of the lesser charge but sadly, he ended…
Crap, I guess that mean I need to start watching that show.
Uh, what do you think I meant by the first line of my comment?
I'm not a lawyer either but couldn't he potentially be charged with some form of manslaughter?
Or Frieda tries to decapitate him and he becomes a Nearly Headless Nick.
It is interesting to consider how the old guards would react, particularly whether on the night of the lockdown since they would be going directly against Caputo's orders not to question the inmates.
Agreed about Piscatella. I bought him sticking up for Humps because of the whole "brotherhood" thing which he doesn't see Caputo as part of because of his "fancy suit", but I thought he would have laid into Humps about the importance of order or something along those lines.
They definitely should have tried to revive her but my guess is they decided the visual that we see above with only Taystee laying with her was more impactful. I usually get irritated by that type of thing but it didn't bother me at all because I was so devastated by what happened.
Well, we know that the leaders would have kept everyone in line but even if Caputo wanted to believe that, as the warden of a prison and a former guard, he has been lied to by hundreds of inmates. Even if he wanted to, he couldn't just trust that they would be good if practically all the guards walked out, again.
Ugh, I just got chills. I forgot about that line and now my heart is broken all over again. Why do these writers hate us so much?
I just wish he would have followed Caputo's advice to get the hell out of there.
You're right that a lot of times they don't seem to know what to do with her. I will be very irritated if Morello doesn't eventually have a major storyline that highlights her mental illness though.
I think it could have gone either way. She certainly never would have spoken to her herself but I can see her having her assistant make some calls on her behalf, especially if rumors persist about her being racist. That way she could *leak* that she helped the black inmate who was her cooking class assistant in prison…
I started crying again reading the review too!
I intended to watch the finale last night but was way too devastated after watching this. I am expecting it to primarily deal with the aftermath of Poussey's death and the how it will affect the prison and Morello's issues will take a back seat until next season, but who knows?
I am very worried for how this is going to affect Suzanne.
I thought I was being diligent and remained spoiler free until just a couple of days ago and was furious when I came across an article with it in the headline. I didn't know the context and while knowing it would happen eventually had me a nervous wreck every time she was on screen the last few episodes. It didn't…
I agree if they were persons of color, things would likely have gone much worse but I didn't get any sense of racial subtext in that scene with the cops.
I agree. They were even too stupid to realize the cops were just fucking with them when they said their other friends talked about heroin and prostitutes, which it was obvious none of them had experience in.
