"If you guys are gonna rank our hate, you guys are *here* and Humphrey is *here*"

I was surprised by that comment as well and even more surprised that the show has yet to go anywhere with Morello's mental illness. I feel like they're leading to something now but I thought the same thing when Vinnie beat up Christopher so who knows.

I was furious that Caputo let Piscatella get away with that shit but I'm not sure it's unrealistic with all that's happened. Who would be left if Piscatella and "his guards" walked out? Gerber and Coates?

"We can eat candy. We can teach each other stuff about stuff, like we did."

OH.MY.GOD. It’s not unusual for me to cry while watching tv and I shed tears several times already this season. However, I can’t recall the last time I bawled like I did watching what was happening to Poussey who, as I commented in a previous episode, was the kindest and most genuine soul at Litchfield.

I meant more her hair cut and overall look not the fact that she looked like shit after giving birth. :)

I only vaguely remember Tank Girl but I always loved her in A League of their Own and am beyond impressed with her as Lolly. I really hope she is in contention for awards next year when this season is eligible and that this role acts as a resurgence to her career.

Yes, we saw her puking her guts up into Pennsatucky's basket, coming off of drugs so it wasn't her.

Jeez, one more time, I am not doubting anyone or saying these things don't happen. I am saying for it all to happen immediately after these guards begin working where, unlike in the article where there was already a culture of this type of behavior, with noone showing an ounce of humanity other than McCullough with

Some of the women at Litchfield are violent offenders but the majority aren't and the article clearly states that over 60% of the inmates in that prison are there for violent offenses.
I do think these are important distinctions because when you expect an inmate to be violent, you are more likely to treat them as such.

God, I hope not. I'm hoping for a mass expulsion of Piscatella and his whole crew and a return of some of the old guards, though I realize that's unlikely to happen.

If judging solely from that picture, yes but look at the image next to it of her after giving birth or the flashback when she insists that Suzanne attend the sleepover with her sister.

I was confused by those comments as well, considering the thread topic was the horrors of being in a psych ward.

Both Suzanne and Sankey were saying they wouldn't fight. I assumed they intended for it to be ambiguous who Maureen was offering to fight.

Somewhere in the middle then because nothing about the way the mother (or the sister) dressed, spoke or acted in the flashbacks or at visitation read "crunchy" to me.

That article has been linked many times during these reviews and it is both fascinating and disturbing. However, the prison it features is a medium security men's prison that is three or four times larger than Litchfield and is composed primarily of violent offenders so it's unlikely the same methods would be employed

Cusack movie, Better off Dead.

That explains why you like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I'm not a huge fan of Noah but it's unlikely he even knew about the tweet.

"I want my two dollars!"
