I lived in Jacksonville (there’s still time to get out!), and I feel you’re giving Jaguar fans way too much credit here.

#2 is also a hatchet job; the original post made it clear that it was coming from an enthusiast’s POV. Now, I can see that most of Jalopnik are enthusiasts already, but maybe it’s important to note that for us normal folk with our Hyundai Elantras, Honda Civics, etc.
This is the most surreal collection of maniacs I’ve ever seen. I can’t wait to go to the dealers and ask, “Yeah, it’s everything I need in a car, but will I want to look back at it?”
I’m talking a full year with this one. But yeah, I’m not all that concerned; got a six pack of Churchkey Pilsner for $7. However, I do want to have a good understanding of the timeframe.
Gordon, I’m a scumbag who regularly purchases beer from a grocery outlet. I get some pretty great deals on good beer, but usually it isn’t the freshest. How long after a brew date is beer considered “fresh?”
That’s good news for Dez’s defense, since there’s plenty of evidence that he has trouble maintaining possession.
Maybe he’d be more productive if he played for the Raiders.
Well, they do call it a drunken haze for a reason.
I don’t understand; those things aren’t here.
Don’t worry, I’m sure worse was said about Connor Shaw.
You two are a real pero knuckleheads.
But what about the roofer’s take?
It’s even more simple than that. Can you run a play that can consistently take 10 seconds off the clock? If the answer is no (it definitely is), punt!
This is a pretty neat Cracked article.
2000, #5 Clemson losing to Georgia Tech at home. That was supposed to be the year, man. The kids were crying, the adults were praying it was just a nightmare. I swore off hardcore college football fandom endemic in my family for the anger and misery that games like this caused.
Even as a Braves fan, it’s okay to root for the Mets IF your only other choice is the Cardinals. I mean the Cubbies or the Dodgers are better choices in my opinion, but don’t let the 1999 NLCS get in the way of your decision. That’s how evil it has become to root for the Cardinals.
Edinson Volquez is many things. “Ace-like” is not one of them.
Bartolo Colon is very high on the craftsmen list, and very underrated on the stuff list. There’s no way a 42 year old man should be able to throw his 88 MPH fastball 84% of the time, and get the output of a league average starter. A lot of it is location, but the movement he gets is still filthy. That’s crafty stuff…
Only pitcher (min 2000 IP) with a higher career FIP than Suppan was Jamey Wright, who pitched out of the bullpen in his later years.
