    @anitesh.jaswal: they did, but party chat is only available on the Xbox, because it's a Gold service. they didn't implement it on GFWL because... they're charging for it on the Xbox.

    @archronos: I believe you could play singleplayer and a basic multiplayer, but I'm not sure. anyway, they charged for stuff you could never imagine paying for on PC.

    ok, so they keep on improving their store and ways to buy DLC, but what about all the other features like party chat, etc?

    @NewSpecies: it's funny that they stopped charging for GFWL 2 years ago and there are guys like you that still don't know about it.

    my oldest memory of gaming is playing (or watching someone) GORILLAS.BAS, and the PC (supposedly) belonged to a friend of my father. I don't even know if it's true, but that's my oldest memory.

    fucking minecraft. I'm addicted to MINING. I'm not even building anything, I'm just digging and digging and digging and digging.

    @DevsterC: that happens with a lot of games. sometimes you even enter an auto-update loop because the update doesn't work. with GTA IV I had to download the latest patch manually because it wouldn't work, BUT it took a few weeks for them to make the patch available.

    second big update in a row that doesn't add any real features or fix more important stuff (locked save games, for example), like the previous one which basically just let you buy DLC without closing the game.

    @unknownsock: yes, I'm in the same situation. but I realized I just wasn't playing the games and the thought that I didn't NEED to play every game luckily prevailed.

    well, I'll be waiting for the GOTY edition.

    @Dyram: in JA there are a few, but usually you have to use Sense. MotS IMO goes quite nice until the end when you begin to be 1-hit KO'ed, it was like a horror game.
