Good. I think that the reasoning behind this is pretty sound, and it also does a good job of beginning to address the pretty embarrassing and inconsistent gaps that we have in protections for sexual orientation and gender identity compared to other categories.

See, I can admit that there are reasons that some people oppose anti-discrimination laws. To be clear, I think that they typically aren’t very good reasons, but I think that they can be more legitimate than malignant assholery.

It turns out that conservative judges are actually quite capable of reaching sane decisions, provided that they aren’t either a) partisan hacks, or b) originalist nutjobs. Not naming any names with those.

This seems well-intentioned, but also likely to increase wage/employment gaps. Giving companies a financial incentive not to hire an entire group of people seems risky, and prone to backfiring.
