Hmm, maybe. Or maybe he's actually sexually attracted to children but doesn't act on his impulses because he doesn't want to harm them? I don't think there's any way to definitely say for sure one way or the other without actually studying them.

Does anyone have a complete list of all 76 schools? Best I can find is a list of 64, which was the number the last time I checked....and it really doesn't seem like it was that long ago.

My applications are on, like, permanent hiatus. I gave up asking transfer advisors what would happen if I were raped on their campus.

If pedophilia is a sexual orientation, then it has the same commonality with homosexuality as it does with heterosexuality. So I don't see how that's insulting to the LGBTQA community.

Either way, I think it's rather short-sighted to assume that this person is getting off on telling his story and not honestly seeking

You clearly don't know the statistics of childhood abuse because, sadly, it is actually a real possibility regardless. But, my point still stands, if you're unwilling to deal with the consequences of abuse, then you probably shouldn't be a parent. And having your own biological children solely to lower the risk of

A. That's why foster parents exist. But, let's be honest, there are a lot of children that are officially up for adoption, where the biological parents have relinquished all parental rights.

B. I don't think people opt to pay an extra fee, but rather the child they've bonded with happens to be part of a private agency,

I don't think anyone wants to force people to adopt; all we're saying is that they should seriously consider why they feel so strongly about having their own biological children when there are already so many children in need of homes.

And, let's be honest, most of the reasons people give for being opposed to adopting

I'm going to formulate my response to you by copy and pasting things I've already said in this same thread:

Re: people that want the experience of having their "own child" and people that aren't up for adoption: "I wouldn't really want to force couples into adopting a needy child if they seriously couldn't love a kid

I wish I could star this more than once. Seriously, people, even if you're innocent, even if you're just a witness, even if you're the victim, ALWAYS REQUEST A LAWYER AND THEN SHUT RIGHT THE FUCK UP. You're only legally required to provide your name and address, or to show ID upon request. After that, you

Geezus, I never realized how utterly neglectful my parents were until just now! They let me ride my bike to the park and play by myself all the time! It's like they didn't even know they were in charge of my well-being!

It's amazing I've managed to live this long!

I'm not defending insects, I'm saying that needlessly killing things for your own convenience is kind of messed up. That's all.

I do not think proof that the biological parents don't want the kid is at all necessary. The system should be centered around what is best for the child, and if the bio parents cannot offer an adequate, non-abusive home, then they should have no say in whether or not the child should be adopted by someone that can.

A

You do realize that is all liable to happen whether you adopt a kid or give birth to them, right? I know plenty of teens and even grown adults that are selfish and don't really care about their parents. Having your own biological children is no guarantee that you'll have a perfect, greeting-card family.

And, honestly,

And they won't consider adoption because....

As I already said at the end of my comment (did you read that far?): "I wouldn't really want to force couples into adopting a needy child if they seriously couldn't love a kid if (s)he was not genetically related to them or if they didn't raise it from birth."

But, yeah, I guess you're right to a certain extent. I do ki

Yes, although the Inuksuks are usually a little more extravagant. And hmmm, I wonder if Skyrim is the reason they've been popping up in more places?

I know most cultures, including the Hawaiians, used them to mark trails and boundaries. And now the islands of Hawaii are having a huge issue with jerkish tourists

Oh, yeah, but aren't those women also selfish and unwilling to adopt because the simply must have a baby that shares their DNA?

And I actually thought about that before I terminated my unwanted pregnancy. It would have been nice to have that option, but I'm still not sure if I would have done it.

Regardless, I still

This is exactly what I was thinking. The only reason I can think for this to really be necessary (other than for selfish people that insist they must donate genetic material in order to love a child) is for women that are already pregnant and cannot bring it to term for whatever reason. But I have no idea if

I'm also really uncomfortable with the implications of artificial wombs, but for very different reasons.

Although, as a pro-life woman, she should be thrilled! They could just outlaw abortion and transfer our unwanted fetuses to artificial wombs! Because I'm sure pro-lifers will find no ethical issues with that...

Of course, but we're not intentionally doing it. Killing bugs and bacteria and what not while going about our daily lives is the circle of life. Consciously and needlessly killing them is a little different.

"Sun Sticks." It's worthless and appropriative! What a bargin.
