It has to do with character types. Mad Max, since Road Warrior, has always been just outside of society, always wandering around. He’s the mysterious stranger, the lone gunman, the hobo that pisses on the wall of society.

One other thing: Fury Road follows other Mad Max films in not letting continuity or logic get in the way of the plot. (I’m looking at you, Thunderdome.) It’s perfectly set up to drop what doesn’t work and tell an apocalyptic deiselpunk story.

Birds are the evolution of the raptor form dinosaurs - the theropods. Stuff like T-rex, velociraptor, deinonychus, utahraptor, archeopteryx, etc.

Not quite. The “thecodonts” are a wastebin group for basically any archosauromorph that was not a bird or a crocodile or dinosaur. Wikipedia has a better idea of how it works:
