Seriously 5 Avatar films?!

Didn’t appreciate it enough the first time I read it but it has stayed with me. Might be my #1 pick.

Ahem:

Not because it needs a sequel. Not because it would actually be any good. But because I wanted so much for Pratchett and Gaiman to do another book together.

It’s happening!!

The other issue is of course the survivors (probably super strong and invulnerable ) ill rip your limbs off . ;-) Always a bad idea to shoot their less vulnerable friends .

I believe I’ve read that constructing a Dyson sphere around our sun would likely require more mineral resources than exists in our solar system.

Like when Goku takes four episodes to make a Spirit Bomb? Why would Freiza even bother with Vegeta or Piccolo at all?

The Power Rangers Turbo movie surprisngly covers this. Basically it’s like a 3 second flash.

In GaoGaiGar they actually accounted for this in the story and made GaiGar create some kind of power field around itself while fusing with the Gao machines. There are one or two episodes where the enemies try to break into the barrier to stop the fusion.

You had a gif and everything! Overachiever! ;D

That’s why Jaspion/Juspion didn’t had a “henshin/souchaku/morphing time?” transformation scene. The actor thought it to be a very stupid thing, and actuallt said no. The Space Sheriff series (Gyaban/Sharivan/Shaider) had one that happened in one that happened so quickly it seemed instantaneous. And than the narrator

Oh god I laughed so hard at this. It’s definitely true unless you count those transformation sequences that have some sort of energy or something flying about (HOLY SHIT that guys got fire flying around him, maybe I should wait until its over).

I always wondered about that myself. I mean in order to build one in the first place, you’d need to be able to manipulate gravity. Otherwise the system would simply collapse upon itself. So you could move mass around fairly easily, but would there really be enough in a given stellar system.

Star Trek style teleporters. For all the the issues with them not being able to work without teleportation pads on both sides the biggest issue for anyone using them would be the fact that each time you use one it KILLS YOU and replaces you with a duplicate on the other side.

The return of GeoCities!

Tatiana Maslany also voices the scorpion. Is there a role this woman can’t play?

Q: What do you call alternative medicine that works?
A: Medicine.

Anesthesia as a technological advancement that has made ethical advancement possible is a good example of the kind of thing I hope continues to happen. I doubt animal experimentation will ever go away, but the more we can mitigate damages while continuing to reap real benefits the better.

Dresden Files have cited the silly statistic about the very large number of missing person reports filed each year to do some math about what percentage of people could be being eaten by monsters. The problem with that is most of those people are found, and many of those reports comes from the same dumb kids running
