The world of TV superheros was worse for it being on, because it was a bad example. Fortunately it seems like the rest of the shows aren’t trying to copy its self destructive ways.

Neat. Hypnodisk also seems like it was built to survive its own blades getting caught on stuff. A lot of the earlier robot fights I saw, people would put a spinning blade on there, and the robot would tear itself apart when it bit into another robot’s armor.

It never ceases to please me when a simple and fast geometric shape utterly destroys some overengineered robot with tons of bells and whistles.

While I agree on general principal, poor Joel McHale deserves more work too.

“Also, those suits are really convincing.”

Ice Pirates still has some pretty amazing lines:

Welp, you beat me to it. Good job.

No, think about it, he prevents kids from getting those burgers.

Happy meals, now with 300% more Smilex!

Significantly, I’d imagine. I’ve seen these kinds of things for sale at Gem and Mineral shows, and they’re always over $1000. Plus faking is a big concern, and with fossils in general.

I’m sure he could take Mr Sinister in an interesting direction too.

It’s been a long, long time. I guess I must have been thinking that these guys were alien versions of the existing characters. But I had to have been like... 8 or 9 when I saw this too :)

Really? I’m honestly curious how that would work, considering they made half the cast aliens, and threw in the Kzinti from Ringworld and all kinds of other stuff.

Star Trek was never remade huh?

I work in a molecular biology lab, that’s why. Because I know it’s way, way harder to do what you’re saying than you think... the lab I work in doesn’t do isolation of bacteria from the wild, but I did a bit of it in school on a very general level, and I’ve seen the money it costs to set up a whole lab. A million

I guess I just expect that ‘The Galaxy is big’ to come into play a bit more than it does in Star Wars... it seems like everyone is a ten minute drive from everywhere :)

They had some, but not with the same focus as in the original. The prequels all seemed to put their focus on lightsaber fights and ground armies fighting droids.

Its for all those people who thought that Wedge deserved a bit of screen time for helping to kill two death stars. Star Wars is also cool pew pew fighter space ships... something the prequels tended to ignore.

And it’s tradition to kill the sandpeople, even the women and the CHILDREN.
