When I was in NYC a few months ago, I walked by an old church that has become a quirky shopping mall. I seen nothing that weird about there being an abby in 1800s era Gotham, or that it would go through a whole ton of different purposes afterwards.

I’ve posted a few times in favor of seeing the nuts and bolts of villains making their plans come to the final finished product that the hero gets entangled in, in part because there’s a lot of opportunity for comedy.

If you need a weapon in your shoe, I always say, From Russia, With Love

That was a pretty turbulent time in Roman history, what with the Emperors deciding to have co-Emperors, and sub-Emperors, and then everyone fighting one another when they realized that they wanted it all. It’s no wonder people would bury their money in a hurry.

For something like coins, I could kind of see it being finders keepers, but really, it’s not a bad policy to consider ancient archaelogical finds to be part of the public trust.

Oh yeah, I think the whole zoo of bugs they threw at the humans was one of the best parts, but it did definitely make the bugs feel like the inferior opponents in general, not having much in the way of ship to ship fighting.

I ran low on PTO, no such luck for me.

And then you’re like, wait, where are my gears and copper!

The game gives you hints when you start to build a generator, but there’s a certain amount of trial and why is the fucking wire not fucking long enough!

Also, that game is trying to turn me into a damn horder.

Sometimes you just gotta take your coconut and head home.

My girlfriend and I have been both playing Fallout 4, and headed off in opposite directions. About the only thing we can talk about the game together is how to properly get the power running in our town.

Don’t worry guys, we’ve got this.

Man, I can’t even remember if Orcs were natives to Draenor at all, or if they came in from some other place. Because the draenai being interstellar alien tentacle people and yet still getting called by the name of the Orc planet didn’t make a lot of sense to me at the time BC came out.

It’s weird, because even though Warcraft was basically about opposing armies trashing each other, the actual game was filled with jokes and gags that lightened the mood.

Looking back, it’s amazing how well LOTR dealt with the complex mythology that underpinned all the events in those movies.... it helped that Aragorn being the 90 year old child of a lost civilization wasn’t critical to the plot, and magic wasn’t so important it needed an explanation. And it also helped that it wasn’t
