Yeesh! I’m glad she got the manigable bacteria. A friend of mine had a titanium mesh put in her skull, and it worked its way out, and she got a real hell of an infection. They had to bring out some experimental stuff.

Still, its a far cry from the UN or UNIT or whoever called the shots in that episode. I’m pretty sure that US president from that season of Doctor Who would just nuke London himself.

I’ve heard horror stories of bacterial biofilms living on surgically sterilized metal hip implants.

American Horror Story: Indian Burial Ground

It’s probably more environmentally friendly too.

Sounds an awful lot like Putin’s anti-gay propaganda law, tbh.

The Slitheen episdoes were the first hint I had that Doctor Who Earth was really different than the real Earth... why would the UK ever, EVER give up control of its nuclear weapons to some outside government?

Of course, even in that one, a guy invents faster than light communications for a group of ancient alien humans. But it was mostly about a scientist feeling awkward at parties ;)

On a practical basis, I bet that the package was just a bunch of papers that said “Got You!” over and over again.

Well, I think there’s only so many fuel efficent ways to haul a bunch of stuff. Probably eaiser than scrounging up a Prius and a trailer too.

Now I found a better gif.

Yeah, the whole time I was thinking ‘Yoink! Yoink? Come ON, YOINK!”

I’m guessing she takes a bullet for a pregnant Lee, and her dying words are “Name it after me... even if it’s a boy.”

I wonder if there is a certain fun factor that keeps books around longer, and that you’re more likely to get action adventure stuff in the genres than in your more emotionally deep Remains of the Day style literature.

I think the key is to get one that just stays short. For example, Daniel Radcliff, age 27:

I think it just depends on the conditions... you have whole species that are just clones of a single organism that are doing fine, unless they run across a pathogen that gets a taste for them.

Has it really only been 2 years? Caaaaaaaaaaaaarrrlll looks like he’s aged 6 or 7, so I was thinking it was a similarly distant time from the start. Though I guess lil’ Judith isn’t a toddler yet.

Yeah, Phil 2 definitely feels like he deserves a bigger say because of his bigger importance. Or he deserves Carol.
