I’m not a Pokémon fan, so I had to backtrack through two articles to figure out why it would be condescending, but now I agree. It’s condescending.

On the other hand, the leaks helped people make better informed purchases since Gamefreak was not going to release the final dex numbers. Finding out that your favorite didn't make it in before you buy the game is a win for the consumer for sure. People would have found out either way after release, but the leaks…
Your reaction is considerably more childish than his half-hearted jab.
A) In general, I’m against leaking, but the person that released the list of available Pokemon did a downright community service. Informing people of which of their old Pokemon will be transferable leads to informed purchases.
Came here to say this. I skipped Sword / Shield for a multitude of reasons. But Dexit (what a stupid yet apt name) was what pushed me away the most. Now The Pokemon Company is going after leakers? I’ll be avoiding this series from here on out.
Today I learned that Battleborn hasn’t already been shut down, as I had previously assumed.
I loved House of X and Powers of X, but I’ve been underwhelmed by the ongoing titles so far. Hoping that things will kick into high gear with the second and third issues.
Agree to disagree. I dislike dexit, but it’s far from the worst problem this game has.
Look you can love whatever game you want. Ive always held the opinion that other people’s negative opinions on things I like can shove it.
This is a bad take. It’s cool that you’re pumped to see Jolteon and Hitmonlee and Rhydon roaming around the wild area. It is equally cool for someone to be upset that they don’t see Bulbasaur, Squirtle, or Beedrill roaming around. I see a lot of these pieces that are framed like “Well you would never catch all 900+…
Counterpoint. No.
> Too little has been improved in its user interfaces, and certain mechanics, like the methods for evolving or obtaining certain Pokémon, have remained needlessly obtuse [...]. The plots and characters are often rote to the point that even children must feel condescended to. The recent games are disappointingly easy.
I honestly am so dissapointed with the pokemon games released since Pokemn X/Y I hate talking about it because, every1 else is. But like I spent a good year hunting down and catching every pokemon. The game didn’t have to be deeper than that, it facilitated me making friends and gaming a lot with others and it had a…
“In the future, Kojima Productions will also start making films,” Kojima said. “If a person can do one thing well, then they should be able to do anything well.”
Assuming this is the plot twist, which seems pretty obvious, I am kind of disgusted that movies keep ignoring a basic rule of popular fiction/franchises: you don’t invalidate a happy ending from the installments that people liked the best.
Just another example of how the discourse between consumers and devs has completely broken down. It’s like no one gives a shit about deescalation.
Within the reddit were plenty of legit complaints about the fact that it’s unfair for a skin to cost 18 bucks, that you can’t buy eighteen dollars worth of in-game money, you’d have to pay even more to get a twenty dollar pack, that you could buy other games for twenty bucks that are quite good instead of a simple…
counter-point: They’ve consistently shown the inability/lack of care/lack of foresight to future proof their tech, requiring them to make excuses now. They are not a tech savvy company, and practically every generation of games further proves that they really need to hire some quality engine devs or something.
This is kind of a bummer to read. Splinter and the (former) Gizmodo wants to be all about consumer rights and protecting workers.
They were being dicks about it when announced. A simple none condescending announcement would of been nice.
