Fully agree with you. Same as yourself, I absolutely consumed gaming magazine demo discs, and to this day have a rather impressive psone-era demo disc collection. You’re not doing it wrong. I had the same exact experience when I started Witcher 3 as you. I felt like it was so slow, and I was under-leveled for everything. Here was this gorgeous big open-world, and everywhere I went, and everything I did, I got my ass handed to me by higher level monsters/bandits/whatever.
