Bash, I love your reportage, but your English is getting atrocious. This is the fourth or fifth post in as many weeks I had an issue sussing out. If you ever need someone to run a quick review on something before you post it, I’ll happily volunteer.

Did they ever address the bug where sometimes Gym would turn yellow?

The Old Zelda is the New Zelda and the Less Old Zelda is now the Old Zelda.

We can quibble on the world “Old” as used here, since the NES and SNES got to the point pretty quickly, but when I read this sentence I immediately thought of Twilight Princess with its excruciating three-hour tutorial of chicken-hunting and boring NPC chatter.

I was really hoping that they would return to something ordinary like , Roofing or Helpdesk, clerk , or some other normal job to make me feel a little better about my mundane desk job, but that’s just wishful thinking I guess.

Losing perspective is an understatement. Not long ago Nintendo games couldn’t have strong language or references to religion, this is nothing by comparison.

I respect the views presented in this piece, but the undertone is that this is a commercial necessity. It will always be a business decision when it involves a business, of course, but I do wonder what it means when a creator’s work is so easily changed. Does it mean the integrity of the original artistic work wasn’t

Integrity of original artistic work means nothing (or it is secondary) to a product created for the sole purpose of being sold. Products whether its art or not are changed during the conception right up to release. When it is change doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things.

I think that was Ishamael’s point...

And almost all of the “risque elements” are unscathed in X, all they did was cover up the minor, remove the breast slider, and change the fundoshi. The rest of the revealing armor is still plenty revealing on all the characters who aren’t 13.

Yeah and it also turns into a semantic argument about what the word ‘censor’ actually means. Everyone uses it wrong, but at the same time we all know what they are trying to say, and to me it seems there are a lot of cases where they take out things from games for silly reasons. The fact that the girl in this game is

I imagine most developers probably share similar feelings of getting the best product out to as many people as possible and not sweating a few cultural dictated changes. There are probably much bigger challenges to spend their time and energy than something that takes the art/model/texture team relatively little time

“Booya!”

Personally I’m not that broken up over the lack of voice chat with randos. For example: I’ve never been a big fan of voice chat in general, but I do it on Overwatch, and my experience in terms of voice chat with randos is vastly outnumbered by racists, trolls and jerks than it is nice folks who just want to chat about

A successful Sony is also an arrogant Sony. And an arrogant Sony leads to colossal future fuck ups.

This is not an example of a race which is not oppressed taking the cultural trappings of an oppressed or ignored group and erasing their actual culture or narrative. So I’m not really sure what it is that you’re calling appropriative. This is the creation of an image of a fictional African nation making homage to the

That’s your take on this?
