I also haven’t played a 3D Sonic in more than a decade and I feel willing to give the series another shot. It’s not impossible, I could plausibly see her eye being a second gem. But it looks nothing like her chest gem, and fusions of two different gems are taboo on homeworld, so it’s very very unlikely in my opinion.
