Woody Allen makes about three times as many movies as Polanski. He’s made more movies this century than Polanski has since his accusation. By the time that 2020 passes, unless my television pilot gets greenlit, he’ll have made more movies this decade alone than Polanski has since ‘77.

My mom taught special Ed in title I schools for 30 years and loved ALL of her kids, voted for Clinton and Obama, raised me as a feminists, taught me to see all people the same, and voted Democrat for everything on the ballot BUT president. I don’t disagree with you at all, in terms of people who continue to support Trump. But the idea that our current social and political reality should be ignored in television because (we think) Trump supporters are bad people is silly and unrealistic.

To an extent, but is exploitation just any job you didn’t want to do for less money than you’d like? Because if so most jobs count. In an article about potential sexual assault, “his contracts don’t pay very well” seems like a weirdly petty thing to include.

If he did do some of those things he’s clearly horrible, but “my wages to do a nude scene weren’t as high as I would like” is a really lukewarm inclusion in this.

Not always. Some people complain even if the mom is covered. I am a children’s librarian and a mom was feeding her infant in a little room off to the side where kids can read or play. A grandmother complained to me asking “what am I supposed to tell my grandkids?”. I was so dumbfounded that a woman would complain…

It’s funny - I live in Dubai and here breastfeeding is extremely encouraged. You can literally do it absolutely anywhere and if ever you’re harassed or told to move you can call the police - and they do take it seriously.

A thoughtful, empathetic person (and, yes, I do believe this Pope is) raised under conditions of dictatorship, in which religion was venally used to buttress an authoritarian regime, will always have a sharp nose for hypocrisy.
