I watched a video of a woman who wore 18th century dress for a year and she discussed how great it was for her body image. You don’t change your body to fit the clothes, you add padding or the support you needed to fit the style of the clothes.

I’ve done the opposite too! Get a freebie of bronzer and it tends to wind up being crease eye shadow. I’m also cool and pale, bronzer looks like dirt on my cheeks.
I moved back in October, and if people ask me how long I’ve lived in my city, I say realistically I’ve lived in my apartment for 9 months and my new city for 2. It was an odd time to move. The good news is, a lot of people have been feeling isolated and are more open to doing new things and meeting new people, so I’m…
That’s what it reminded me of!
The real lifehack is not clicking on any Lifehacker article with a number in the title.
Turkish style towels are where it’s at. They are so absorbant, and then they dry so quickly. I have one for myself, my hand towels are that style as well, and now all of my regular towels are either guest towels or dog towels.
Yes I’m so mad at myself for not getting the shoes.
Slightly mighty is correct, but you also need Sea Quench.
I think the powders are generally better for areas not rubbing together as actively as thighs- I use it for underboob, around my stomach, etc. Anywhere I crease.
Buildability is good to know. I’ve got vague purpleness under my eyes, but then I have a streak of dark purple that looks like I stuck my finger in eggplant eyeshadow and dragged streaks of it diagonally down from the corner of my eyes. I just can’t cover it with my current go-to (Maybelline with the sponge.)

I would love to date casually/get an actual FWB for the next year or so. A few months ago I would have said “woo, single for the first time after 6 years, I’m going to get out and experiment” but that seems exhausting.
Agreed. There are some colors, as a pale person with dark hair, that I just know are not ever going to be for me. And as a tall woman, mini dresses just look like a nightshirt I accidentally wore outside.
Same. Most pants are flood pants on me if I’m not careful, but intentional cropped stuff just looks awful. Like my body is a stack of blocks.
Flattering is such a fraught concept as a plus size person. There’s a real push back against the idea that we need to wear flattering clothing, because so much of what was said to be flattering (based on my experience as a teen in the 00's) was just clothing to look smaller, almost apologetic. Cover up, wear dark,…
I pulled up a brownie recipe because I have a craving and all of the ingredients, but you’re probably right that it won’t live up to the Ghirardelli mix standard.
I struggle with the oversized blazer trend. My short friends can wear a large vintage blazer and have it look like a great intentional fashion choice, whereas I as a tall, fat woman just look like I’m a late NFL draft pick bursting out of my dad’s old suit.
The second one looks like the weirdly hot but never going to be famous actor portraying a serial killer in an Investigation Discovery show, where when you see the mugshot, you realize the show is being wildly generous in the casting.
God that beard reveal in Infinity War. Makes the $8 or whatever I’m paying for Disney+ this month worth it.
That’s so interesting that he can handle tofu but not soybeans. I was going to recommend black soybeans as a higher protein option in Mexican or Caribbean dishes compared to standard black beans.
