I thought I hated carpet, until dogsitting and staying in a house with really nice carpets in the bedrooms. It just feels better when you get out of bed. It turns out what I hated was the bad, scratchy, cheap carpets in rentals I lived in.

Yeah I did not stick with low carb on my trip to Mexico. I don’t know if I’ll ever make it back, so I was not about to miss the chilaquiles.

More intuitive eating- last year I did low-carb with myfitnesspal counting, and I found I got obsessive and didn’t like how it felt mentally, even if physically I felt better. So this year, I plan to incorporate the cooking style (meals are based on vegetables, rather than grains; no added sugar in drinks or sauces,

I love doing a shredded salad with an acv, honey, and spicy mustard dressing, with toasted walnuts and peeler shreds of asiago cheese. It’s great for potlucks or anything where you can make it a day ahead, it only gets better as it sits (except the nuts- the toasty sizzle is great at the last minute.)

I remember going to Barnes and Noble excited to buy that Women’s Running magazine, and being delighted they had sold out. I don’t usually but magazines, but featuring plus-size athletes will get me to spend, to show there’s a market for it.

I asked for a Misfit 2 tracker from my boyfriend for my birthday last year (saying this as a PSA to only buy a fitness tracker for someone who asks for one/has expressed an interest.) I swam laps at my old gym and enjoy biking to work, so I wanted to option to work well for my main activities besides walking.

There was so much clapping during the film at the Last Jedi when I went on Tuesday, I just don’t get it. I legitimately did not know the Holdo maneuver was silent until reading this thread, because of people clapping. It seemed like 1 person started it, and then more decided they should be doing it too.

Ticket price is the obvious biggie- I felt great seeing the Last Jedi this weekend with Moviepass, like I was getting away with something.

Probably a good idea, but I think more of those places/jobs may implement something like square.

This is a good point. My company was relatively generous, and matching began after a probation period of a few months. My match is also processed every pay period. In a previous job, the company contribution was a profit-sharing portion given at the end of the year.

I’m admitting I’m out of shape, and I’m working to build my endurance for normal activities.

As a former host, the only thing I would ask is to be understanding about the table I take you to if you’re alone.

The lunch spending is the worst, and my main goal from both a spending and health perspective is to cut it out in 2018.

I saw quite a bit of it, and experienced it when I worked at a bar. I’d say it depends on the type of bar, but even at our sports bar type place, there are guys who just don’t take the hint/listen/read the body language when a woman isn’t interested. I’ve only seen it get aggressive a few times, and staff was quick

I can’t decide if it’s better or worse that he also seemed to be mid/late 20s. Are you hugging me because we’re peers? I just don’t get it.

Every bank I’ve ever been to has side offices for more in-depth business- opening/closing accounts, loan applications, etc.

God yes. I opened a new bank account, and went in for the handshake before I left, and dude hugged me!

I make butternut squash mac and cheese this time of year, vaguely based off of Martha’s recipe. I highly recommend it (especially with a side of roasted sprouts) if “regular” mac and cheese doesn’t feel festive enough.

Is this different than the Amazon Prime Chase card? Because I have that with 5% cash back at Amazon. Now if I could just remember to hit a cash back site instead of going straight to Amazon, I’d be making out.

My preferred use for spaghetti squash is a replacement for hashbrowns- microwave/roast, squeeze to get dry, then pan fry in the fat of your choice.
