Jack of all trades, master of none.  Totally agree with you, except maybe for the big engine.  The more motor you have, the more you can carry & tow (assuming that the frame can support it all).  But you want all the torque at the low end, which today’s candidate probably doesn’t have.

Yup: my vote stands.  Worth buying but not for anything near the asking price.  Nice to see a column mounted shifter (which shifts only in 1 line, but I digress) & a bench seat, but otherwise pretty useless as a truck, & pretty rough around the edges as a car.
