If I were relegated to southern California, & to have infinite money, then I would choose Palm Springs. Love the MCM architecture. A friendly population of Golden Retrievers roaming around (who obey traffic rules & don’t eat my people food) & this would be paradise for me.

Dishonorable mention to touch screen info-entertainment-HVAC systems. These are not only showy but also dangerous. I can feel around knobs & buttons just fine. I don’t need them reduced to a submenu of a screen that I have to take my eyes off the road for, in order to use.
