It’s because the intake from the K&N air filter is coated with K&N air filter oil.  It may not kill a Honda engine, but who knows what this  has done to the MAF sensor or other sensors?

This. I regularly forget what I have for breakfast. Forcing the key to stay with the car while it’s running is a Good Idea ™. I accept that some folks are diligent about keeping their keys by their sides at all times. I’m 1 of those folks - most of the time.

You’re going to trust a person who has difficulty turning a key to operate the rest of the car?

If keyless starting were the norm, then some car manufacturer would come up with the bright idea of using a key to start the car for security or other some such. In other words, manufacturers would find a way to make a big deal about twisting a key, &, more importantly, find a way to make some cash money on it.

Point taken. A PPI may indeed put the mechanic in an epileptic seizure. But if major repairs require no more than duct tape, then I’d go for it, that is if I were in the market for this. I can let go of 4 grand if I can hoon & possibly daily something.
