It’s actually a clone.
It’s actually a clone.
I have a feeling this isn’t going to keep Heather from playing the game. Regardless, here’s an opinion article, we can take it or leave it.
I could understand if the game took place after RDR and they somehow magic’d Marston back to life, because plot convenience. That would obviously cheapen the conclusion of the previous game. But how does telling Marston’s story prior to the events of RDR cheapen it? I don’t see how learning more about him makes his…
Oh boy, can’t wait for some jaw dropping screenshots to start appearing. I, on the other hand, will fiddle around with it and take mediocre shots. Hell, mediocre is phrasing it mildly. They’ll be garbage.
Now I have a reason to change my settings to favor resolution over frame rate. If only for a few minutes.
Took the words right out of my mouth. Dark elves and revenants are the worst. I didn’t mind fighting anything else. But those two enemies just annoyed the piss out of me.
The only downside is that you have to live in Chicago.
Chicago has an annual natural disaster, it’s called the “Bears”
If your goal is to see the sun, ever, between October and April, then you’re shit out of luck.
Where do you live that no natural disaster can destroy your home?
I have. It’s not really an appearance, though... more of a cameo for foreshadowing purposes.
I like that they didn’t reveal Odin and Thor (and some others). It’ll make their introductions in future games really significant, especially after the buildup in this one.
I love the game, but more for the lore, visuals, and Kratos/Atreus dynamic than the battles. That said, I really enjoyed the Valkyrie fights and the Queen makes Baldur look like a punk.
Every time a troll shows up: Rage mode, beat the shit out of them (doesn’t take much in rage mode), boom. It’s not a waste of rage because after a certain point you only need rage for the occasional rare Valkyrie.
I felt sorta the same tbh. They aren’t difficult to fight but, in a game as consistently high in quality as GOW, their constant re-use feels like a weak link. Boring to fight and without the satisfying and viceral feedback you get when fighting regular enemies (apart from the r3 finisher). The small number of real…
I’ve been noticing this trend a lot in gaming since the PS3 era. My touchstone on it is Ratchet & Clank: in the first two PS2 games, you were well assured that each level had a new type of enemy, or a beefed-up version of one you saw five levels ago. Starting with the PS3 games though, we got two “factions” whose…
Fighting the trolls on any difficulty is not that tough or exciting. They get old quick. I agree it was disappointing that the Bridge Keeper was just a troll after so much hype leading up to that fight.
The one enemy type I found consistently engaging and changeling was the Wulvers. Fighting a pack Wulvers on Give Me…
And you’re arguing about a worthless opinion you will never change :) Congrats.
Aaaaand, it’s my own very humble opinion that it’s stupid as hell. Last I checked, I’m allowed to have that opinion. Not sure why you’re trying to argue something that you yourself said was 100% subjective.
A few years ago I saw tons of those “I’m just going to throw a bunch of random stuff together” cosplayers at anime cons and they’d almost always be wearing a mask like this. I thought it was a little weird and misguided at the time but apparently I was wrong!
On the flip side though, I’d be ok if this became a trend…
