Am I the only person who read this in Al Borland’s voice?
Am I the only person who read this in Al Borland’s voice?
Scurvy is exactly what I’m thinking because I had a teacher way back in the 6th grade who didn’t sugarcoat it when we learned about pirates in class. He probably drew from the exact quote in the slide, because it essentially outlines everything he told us (the black bleeding gums stood out the most). It’s one of the…
Okay, glad I wasn’t the only one haha
I feel you there, I used to love DOA and felt it was one of the smoothest, tightest fighters around. I couldn’t even type that sentence without contemplating changing it, which wouldn’t happen with any other major fighting game haha.
But I believe Team Ninja were sincere when they talked about toning down the sex…
The series’ focus on the titty bounce and overt sexuality can pretty much be traced alongside Tomonobu Itagaki’s rise and fall at Team Ninja. All you really need is a Google image search of Itagaki and that makes all the sense in the world haha.
I’ll toss my hat into the “That’s gotta be Jordan Peterson” ring as well haha
Also worth noting that in Haywire, all the vocal acting she did do was dubbed over or altered anyway. They gave some explanation that they wanted her and Gina to embody different entities or whatever BS, but we all know why haha.
I love me a good dumb fun mid-tier game, it’d be awesome to see more of them highlighted! And no apologies needed, all is forgiven as soon as I saw that fire turtleneck you’re rocking in the video haha.
You mean William Daphoe and Tomas Cruz?
Also the blonde totally looks like if Dafoe Fusion Danced with Brad Pitt and played Tyler Durden in Fight Club disguised as Iceman from Top Gun. I need all of this in my life.
How am I just now hearing about this? An almost guaranteed 7/10 action romp-fest with fleshed out shooting and melee mechanics, bad acting, polished-enough gameplay, more bad acting, ridiculous looking characters, and Stefanie Joosten?
Yeah I thought the fact that it’s Final Fantasy vs Assassin’s Creed was more worth an article than Omega cosplaying Sephiroth for the umpteenth time haha. Though it was awesome that he actually came out to the theme.
My favorite obscure Omega move reference might be Croyt’s Wrath, based on the 2005 viral video Croyt’s Rage of some dude named Croyt freaking out and throwing tantrums when getting his ass whooped in Halo 2 haha
Yup, killed it for me. I was already on the fence just because you know, my health and stuff, but that sealed it haha.
Some great movies here, but a few of the entries almost seem like trolls. I mean, Halloween Ends? C’mon haha
Agreed, but I just came here to say that I’ve seen (and starred) your comments around these parts for so long and never knew you were also in SF haha.
I happen to LOVE SNK games from the mid-90s. I own almost all of these and I’ll probably grab them again haha.
There’s a pretty significant demographic out there that constantly fantasizes about their own “one bad day” scenarios, so it shouldn’t be too baffling.
That’s exactly where the prank comes from. Thought it was pretty cool they did that little nod.
Yeah it was the epitome of “One of the games I’ve ever played” for me haha. I actually can confirm I didn’t finish it because it’s sort of special to me in that regard. Prior to it I’d always been the type that unless I was really disliking a game, I always finished it. Mad Max was the first one were I didn’t dislike…
Chris Franklin’s take is exactly mine. Didn’t hate the game by any stretch, just found it completely unremarkable in every facet. Eventually I just got bored of it and moved on, but I still think about going back to it, and have actually started it back up a couple times hoping it’ll get over the hump for me. Still…
