They do have Marduk, who uses vale tudo, which is essentially proto-MMA with less rules. Would be cool to see them implement a character that does have a well-rounded modern MMA move set.

Silat is super broad with a ton of variations; there’s definitely enough unarmed technique there to base a character on.

As soon as I saw her I was like “Oh, karate again” haha.

And neither of have nothing on Senator Armstrong from Metal Gear Rising. Who needs a mech suit?

He was my first thought as well (probably keeping in line with fighting game politicians). G also holds the highest political rank of them all, since he is indeed president of the world.

I usually go through (single player) games and don’t really go back to them, but I have done this. I remember getting stuck in the subway area in Silent Hill 3 for some reason, and I just kinda dropped it to play other stuff. I came back to it over a year later and just somehow immediately went to where I was supposed

It’s gotten a bit healthier just by way of me actually having time to play them more. I have so many other hobbies and interests that I don’t really get burned out on them (I often still wish I could spend even more time playing games than I already do). I guess I’m still too occupied to just really binge on games

If we’re not counting mandatory brightness adjustment, it’s always inverting the Y-axis...unless it’s one of those rare instances where I forget to, in which case it’s normally turning subtitles on.

So it’s basically me with a little more earthquake prediction training?

That caused me physical pain.

Yeah I was totally about to comment that it’d be a long time since I watched and I didn’t know Carey’s beard game got so strong haha.

As a teacher, Clueless Hero often describes me more than my students haha.

Solid stable of comics this week overall, I remember thinking the exact same things when playing Control.

Oh, and one thing I forgot to mention in all the madness: your strategy guide, it’s a GamePro strategy guide...which means it’s not produced by Midway themselves. In fact I actually think I have the same one somewhere in storage back where I grew up haha. And the illustration that you use as one of the foundations for

Now playing

Dude, I’ve pointed out that the info is out there and is included in the trivia section on several of his character profiles; if you’re too lazy for a quick search that’s on you. I didn’t resort to any insult whatsoever, I just said that rant you went on was batshit crazy and directly ignored the large overarching

What high horse? I’m just trying to have a discussion about it, no need for you to be so gotten to and throw a tantrum.

My mentality is similar. I tend not to care what year a game comes out so much as when I play it. I can look a year full of highly acclaimed releases and just say “that one, but I might also feel disingenuous because I probably didn’t experience several of those games in that year (or in some cases, experience them

I thought these were dumb as shit even as a Street Fighter-obsessed child back in the ‘90s

I’m not sure what you’re talking about haha. Where did I say anything about the cast of the movie being racially incorrect? Or anything at all about the new movie cast for that matter? I only mentioned casting in the original game and the first movie. Re-read the comment if you need to.

I guess if it’s an official Midway Mortal Kombat strategy guide that lends it some legitimacy (I’ve had several unofficial strategy guides for games that have incorrect or missing info); I’m just going off many sources I’ve seen that tell the story of him being written as “Japanese-American” or “American of Japanese

C’mon, it’s so much nicer over here...
