“If it wasn’t for the Pirin tablets...I couldn’t go on!”
“If it wasn’t for the Pirin tablets...I couldn’t go on!”
That’s what made me roll my eyes at Don Jr.’s “I was only kidding!” defense. First of all, no you weren’t, and second of all, you’re suggesting your tweet was OK because it’s funny to tweet accusations about pedophilia...? Talk about showing your ass.
And don’t forget Johnny in “Airplane!”: “There’s a sale at Penney’s!”
Also to PBS’s Yamiche Alcindor, who was the reporter Trump called on after passing over Collins. You can’t see it on the tape, but Alcindor (who’s had set-tos with Trump in the past too) motioned to Collins to indicate that Collins should get a chance to answer her question first. Apparently that’s when Trump finally…
He obviously doesn’t know what the term refers to. All that’s stuck in his mind is the one word and that it’s something bad about Obama. If he’d had any idea what the accusations actually were, you know he’d have taken the opportunity to blast them instead of being asked inconvenient questions about COVID-19 response.…
“You all can only understand - I OVERstand. That’s how good a stander I am. Some say the best...”
Chrissy Teigen’s cookbooks are the only celebrity cookbooks I own. I don’t follow her on Twitter (I’m not on Twitter at all!) and so I’m not a “fan” of that sort, but I bought the first cookbook after reading a rave review and now I own them both. They’re AMAZING - nearly everything I’ve cooked from them has been a…
Yeah, I’m no theologian, but I don’t think you can “declare divine intervention.” God isn’t a vending machine where you put in your quarters and push button B-2 and get what you want.
Right? I mean...does he think daily testing prevents infection? Like it’s a vaccine or something?
He even winked when he said it.
Zorn has inspired me! I’m gonna go out right now and get a big swastika tattoo on my face. It’s the least I can do so that all the kids who see me will learn the dreadful historical lessons of the Holocaust. How else will they understand??
Oh the sequel makes this one look like “Citizen Kane.” Dreadful.
I agree about Lois in this movie. As written, and as performed by Kidder, she seems like a real person, and instead of being just a dewy love interest she’s feisty, tough, and funny. I also didn’t think she was portrayed as being dumb at all: she’s a bad speller, but plenty of smart people are bad spellers.
And “You’ve got me...Who’s got YOU?” which is a great line, delivered perfectly by Kidder.
And if they’re all quarantining there, including the daughters’ partners, and they all get along so well, why not have his own wife and kids there too? I’m sure it’s a big house. At first I thought maybe Bruce was concerned about Demi’s mental health/addiction issues flaring up during such a stressful time, but their…
“This was the 500-year flood, this hasn’t happened since 1917.”
A thousand times yes to Space Mutiny. Worth it just for the crewperson who dies dramatically and then is back at her computer, in the background, in the next scene. The filmmakers apparently just forgot she was supposed to be dead. Also for the many names of Brick Hardcheese.
Yeah, I hesitate to blame the students. When I was that age, if my college had told me to come back to school, I very likely would have, whatever my reservations, because (a) they were an authority, if they said it was OK, it was OK; and (b) I’d have been afraid of being kicked out/flunked out if I didn’t return. I…
Nah. They’ll find a way to spin it so it’s all the Dems’ fault. Seriously, I live in the Bible Belt, and you would not *believe* the way people twist themselves into mental pretzels to avoid the cognitive dissonance between “The Republicans are the party of God, apple pie, and freedom!” and “The Republicans may have…
And because (not with this president, of course, but typically...) the president has an important role to fulfill in keeping the country going. Members of royal families, not so much. (Not to knock them - many of them do work hard for charitable organizations - but they’re not gonna be making calls about healthcare,…
