Someone posted Pennywise as a queer character on Twitter as a joke, and some right-wing homophobe blasted them for it, and now people have embraced the joke as an act of defiance against homophobia. Pennywise as a queer character is not offensive, and is being used to actively fight homophobia.

To be honest, I never wanted a masterpiece; if I wanted that, I have the novel right on my shelf. I wanted something that was fun and violent and intense, more of a horrific fantasy film than a slow building creepfest, a new film for the Halloween marathon rotation. It seems I got exactly what I wanted.

After watching the trailer, I have no idea how they are going to stretch out this premise for eight whole hours. It seems too long at even three hours.

If we assume that Laura Dern HAD to be cast as Diane, then Lynch could have cast any white woman as Naido to disguise the reveal.
