I have definitely seen several instances of people calling white women Karen simply for those women having the audacity to stand up for themselves. I’ve also seen the term thrown at women who were 100% in the right. It’s over used. And over use breeds bigotry. You’re right. Karen is now shorthand for “White bitch”.

‘Karen’ used to actually mean something as a term but at this point it has become so overused that it basically means, “Any woman you disagree with”. The term has been co-opted by misogynist usage. It’s diluted to the point of meaninglessness and is now used as a catch-all way to disparage women. Low key shameful then…
