Having been excited by early reports of this movie, I’m pretty disappointed. I was hoping for something legitimately dark, but this just looks like a dumb raunchy comedy with the sole shtick of “look at these puppets swearing and fucking!”

We called them straddle splits - kind of thought the “Chinese splits” name had faded into the past.

I would LIVE to see a Designing Women challenge...

Also, have the queens write more. They’re more clever and fun than the prewritten sketches almost always are

Yep, that’s them!

The worst. I couldn’t talk to anyone about Breaking Bad because they didn’t understand that Walter White wasn’t actually a bad ass. He went that hard because he was ultimately a coward and bought into his own hype. It’s a classic male ego story and coincidentally, most men only saw living life through an inflated ego

The skylar hate was fierce and over the top. And people were still defending Walter in season five! People were still saying he was just doing it all for his family. Like are you guys totally insane?!

I also saw it as a “divide and conquer” strategy. An attempt to make all fertile women handmaidens would never be accepted. — but labeling them as a different group, deserving of their fate, makes low-ranking families more tolerant of the regime.
But from what child-bride Eden said, those families are still not

Oh Lord, BrBa. Hated the fanboys who think/thought Walter was this untouchable god who could do no wrong. He literally lost everything due to ego and unadulterated greed but look at how he killed those neo nazis!! Jesse is a pussy and Skyler is a nag etc etc

Obviously those kids were holding the innocent white people hostage, so yeah.

THIS. I try to see female doctors when possible and will never see a male gynecologist.

One of the more disturbing things about this is that there were female chaperones in the room with this guy. It seems that some of them reported him, but not all. And even those that did report him- after nothing changed they just shrugged and kept going along? Like, what? How did they not say something more, go to

It’s time to flip the script

.............this is why, though mentally I understand male gynecologists overall are professional and not utter cretins, I like to go to female doctors. And this is also why, whenever I have gone to a male doctor in my excellent HMO, they’ve ALWAYS had a female chaperone in the room during the examination.

I often see white parents with obviously adopted black children, I’d call the police but they’d probably arrest the kids.

I was afraid that one of the brides would be revealed to be June’s daughter before realizing that she’s way too young. But honestly the reveal of the child brides was terrifying. Only because this stuff has actually happened (and still does) in real life. My grandfather’s sister was married off in a similar fashion

After being on edge watching endless coverage on the Israel Palestine nightmare, this made me completely lose my shit.

I do remember some weird TLC shows involving people who were very “We’re not going to kiss until we’re at the alter” and it was about as uncomfortable to watch as you’d imagine so I suppose some of those people exist now let alone in Gilead.

June has been separated from her daughter for at least 3 years based on conversation from last season if I remember correctly (Offred had her at 25, says she’s 5 in flashbacks, and is said to be 33 in the present), but in terms of Nick’s wife — there was a story in the Hollywood Reporter that said that the assumption

I’m still legitimately confused about what happened. June just walked out of the house and then fell? I feel like I missed a scene. When Nick found her I thought she’d jumped out of the window (or fallen out).
