Asian Americans make up 5% of the American population and 25% of Harvard admissions. (By comparison, the admission rates for black and hispanic students are much closer to the national demographics.) So, it seems like Harvard already admits a proportionally greater number of Asian Americans than other demographics.

“I haven’t felt normal in a long time. I don’t [remember] normal. I’m not saying that I feel bad. You think the way you feel is normal, and it’s not. I can be better than this. If I get to the goal that I set, I’ll be behind the plate.”

I am amazed that people like Sanders and Warren, who are clearly articulating ideas and plans are being edged out of media attention for members of the same-old same-old squad.

Michael Bay is the third highest grossing film director of all time.

Yeah, but White has been on fire for almost the whole tournament. That decision was horrible and probably cost England the game. There’s no other way about it.

I still cannot comprehend England having Steph Houghton take that penalty despite Ellen White constantly proving herself the most lethal finisher in the tournament. I mean, these commenters weren’t the only ones talking about it.

arrr ‘tis true, the sight of gold drives many a Pirate mad

I unabashedly love Death to Smoochy. I think it’s a lot darker and funnier than people think, and gets better on rewatch.

Probably Jon Stewart’s best work

The original was a great movie, and anybody who didn’t enjoy it is probably the type of person who thinks that pear halves make a good dessert.

Do you like Carly Rae Jepsen? Her early work was a little too folky for my tastes, but when “Kiss” came out in ‘12, I think she really came into her own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. She’s
